Hello, friends! We’ve moved our blog to Tumblr. Come see us at our new location
We’ve moved!
Anna | senior portraits
Girls like Anna remind me why I LOVE doing senior portraits. She is so sweet, fun and obviously photogenic. Also, she is rockin’ the cowboy boots like it’s her job. We had such great time on this perfect fall day. Enjoy a few favorites!

Anna,
Congratulations on your soon-to-come graduation! We’re so excited for you.
Love,
The Elias
Jack and Alisson | day after
I cannot handle these two. Meet Jack and Alisson. The two shared in a romantic and sweet autumn elopement, and we got to photograph them in a cozy and casual day-after session. The light was beautiful, they are so in love. Enjoy.
Jack and Alisson,
We wish you a happy life together. Thanks for letting us share in your romantic honeymoon.
Love,
The Elias
Trae & Jamie | married!
A few months ago we moved from South Florida to Durham. Moving your business (and not to mention your whole life) is…well…terrifying. To be candid, starting from scratch in both photography and friendship has been challenging. That’s why we are so thankful for the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Trae Brant. I knew Trae very briefly in college. To be honest, my only real significant memory of Trae was this hamster name Tolly he had one time. He brought it to a flag football game and I hampster-sat it while it rolled around in it’s little ball. Later, Tolly had a facebook. Sorry… Back to blog. So when we were brand new to Durham in May, I received a phone call from Trae telling me he was newly engaged, now lived in Charlotte, NC, and asked us to shoot his engagement and wedding photos. Needless to say, we were excited to have a job opportunity. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that Matt and I would also be making two really sweet friends. I am so happy for Trae and Jamie, and hope that we can continue to see one another as we start life anew in North Carolina. Us Floridians need to stick together.
Ok, now I’m done with the sappy stuff and on to the photos which is why you’re here, right? Trae and Jamie were married on a rooftop wedding in downtown Charlotte, NC. The weather was perfect. The lighting was beautiful. Trae and Jamie radiated love out of every pore which makes our jobs as photographers a piece of cake. I love their use of color; oranges and purples everywhere. Their families and bridal party were so hospitable and helpful, and we are always thankful for that. Here are a handful of our favorites of this sweet duo.

I love the fall colors; who knew purple and orange looked so good together?!

It comes at no surprise to me when I look over these photographs that Jamie is a dancer. I love her long, graceful neck. So gorgeous.

How attractive are these two? Sheesh!
Because the two were wed in a downtown Charlotte, rooftop wedding, I wanted to be sure we had some city feel to a few.
And the party begins…

My favorite receptions are always the ones with cross-generational garter toss’.

Trae and Jamie,
Happiest of congratulations. We really hope to see you soon.
Love,
The Elias
